I have been a "bitter ender" more times than I can remember, taking it with the team.
On Saturday I was watching it on the TV on my own
At 4.0 I thought, what is the point and drifted off to the fridge. Only other time was watching the Cup Final against the Arse
Gone with a whimper and not a bang

I didn't even purchase a ticket and go to the game, so that must make me an even bigger wanker. Don't actually recall ever leaving early when i have gone though, so perhaps that evens it out.

Just to put the icing on the cake I’ve just been pigged by the Covid app for a contact from Saturday. Will be doing a test later.

I can tell you now that was caused by you leaving and entering Trinity Road at 18.55 approximately.  Would neve have happened had you stayed in your seat.

I did my usual thing earlier win lose or draw I have a look at the opposition forums. The Fighting Cock was the name of the one I looked at. And omg the match forum was ridiculous. It's a common theme with London clubs to slag off the ref but jesus christ they really take it to the next level. Paranoia reigns supreme. Some of them are convinced that the PL allow the refs to be paid off by the opposition to try and prevent Spurs getting top 4 just so Arsenal can. Our players are thugs and it's only good fortune that prevented several Spurs players getting their legs broken. No one gave us any credit for our excellent first half just a few saying that we raised our game massively but deliberately allowed Arsenal an easy 3 points a few weeks back. I can honestly say that they are the worst set of comments I've seen. As bad as Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday and their forums are full of barking mad wankers.

Comments on the Guardian website were pretty much the same - basically were a horrible team full of aggresive players

I love it when fans of teams like that get riled because we got into them. Fuck you!

Watching the game I thought I had gone back in time to the TSM 1 and TSM 2 years.

Absolutely, if you want entertainment go to the pictures. Football isn't the pastime for you. Supporting a football club is 60% duty, 35% punishment, and 5% optimism/pessimism (depending on the duty-to-punishment ratio of the club you support).

I’m a wanker. I left after the 4th goal. A combination of the score, 2nd half performance and having to get back to Aston station after an evening game made my mind up. I’ve never left that early before and, hopefully, won’t again.

Really? Take away that appalling second half and that was probably the best I’ve seen us play against a top 6 side, we absolutely battered them. I’m still struggling to comprehend what went wrong

I stayed till the end and got home earlier than I normally do by about 15 minutes so there was a method in my madness!

I’m a wanker.
Me too. In my defence, I watch most games on a dodgy stream in the middle of the night/early morning. The internet has better distractions than waiting for the fourth goal to go in...

I don't consider myself a football-supporting wanker, but the people who made the changes to the train service back to London Euston to get back home most certainly are. A combination of price hikes and timetable changes at that time mean a nightmare journey for me and a waste of my season ticket. Bring back 10 x 3pm Saturday kick offs to give Geoff Stelling more to talk about and a more balanced view of the table around 5pm.
