Yorkshire Villains on FB going around singing "the city is ours" has made me chuckle this morning!

Felt really down after the Watford result, but what a response from the last 3 games 9-0, each game getting better. Everyone had a good game, but must give special mention to Phil, Matty and Callum all superb. Callum's goal must be one of the best goals seen from a Villa CB for quite a while, pure quality, he's come to us, knowing at the age of 27, this is probably his last chance to prove he can make it in the Premier League and on present form, he's on the way to achieving that goal.

Apart from the first 10 mins or so of the 2nd half, Leeds never in the game, we were a class act, after the 3rd goal, looking like scoring every time we attacked.

Another great performance after Saturday, and the team just look really together - with the talent we now have in the squad in all positions, that is a potent mix.  I'm starting to get Big Ron's first season vibes - that year we had a lot of squad upheaval and went through some iffy runs, but by the end you could really see something building and it just needed one or two key additions.

Our attacking options are now frightening. We could bring in two top wingers in Bailey and Traore on Sunday and play just one striker. It would completely change the dynamic. Not saying we should do that but it just shows the options we now have available. It's a good time to be a Villa fan right now.

Yeah the bench is starting to look strong.  Suppose the one area where we haven't got depth is replacements for Ings and Watkins, but it might be interesting to see Traore or Bailey in those roles.

Well done Villa boys. Great result but Leeds were terrible. For Sunday SG will need to make a couple of changes in midfield for freshness. My thought is Buendia and Sanson in for Ramsey and McGinn.

4321 is the way forward with the current squad - long term not sure what that means for Emi2, Bailey and Bert.

Shout for Konsa too, at half time he was slapping everybody on the back as they came off. I thought it was one of the coaches at first, a fantastic attitude given he'd lost his place.

Yep - a good sign.  I also liked that in his post-match interview on Prime, Gerrard specifically mentioned Chambers keeping the shirt after his performance against Southampton, believing it was important for the squad to see that if you get in, and perform well, you keep the shirt.  No chance of him being dropped for the next game now!

I thought Leeds played into our hands as soon as they put Bamford on.  Fewer men in the middle of the park and we became a lot more relaxed on the ball as their press went to shit.

Lots of very good performances, but I think it's worth mentioning again how good Sanson looked when he came on.  Considering he's not getting much game time he was very sharp, excellent on the ball and well-disciplined.

We have SUCH a strong bench right now.  The team on a three-game winning streak deserves to keep starting (obviously), but we have four or five potential game-changers on the bench now, and I genuinely can't remember the last time that was the case?

Do you mean 4312?  Emi2, Bailey and Bert all have to wait for their chance and take it when it comes.  Clearly we have the ability and now the personnel to change between 4312, 4321, and 433, which means they could all play a part in any given game - but while we're winning, playing well, and scoring goals, they'll simply have to bide their time.  Great, isn't it?

Yep! As I said last night, we had over £100m of talent on the bench. Players are going to have earn the shirt.

There's no way I would drop McGinn, he's just come back into form recently.

Ramsey has been a little quiet lately and with the amount of games he's starting for his age and Sanson impressing from the bench, I do think that could be a good change for Sunday.

Agree with Sanson in for Ramsey, he's earned a start and a rest may do JJ good.

Would it be worth starting Buendia instead of Coutinho? It'd be Phil's 2nd game in 3 days and knowing Moyes he'll want to keep things tight from the start. Maybe bring Phil on with 20-30 mins to go depending on how it's going when the game's more open.
