Possibly the best, most complete win of the season unless I’m forgetting one earlier. I felt it was more a team win than last week. Leeds final ball was atrocious, possibly in part to our setup, strangled them. Matched them in the middle for the most part while the game was at a high tempo.

I think West Ham is very doable as tough as it might be. They got done by Soton, are missing Bowen and have lost their last three in all competitions. Having said that it’s a tough assignment, on evidence of Leeds away though, confidently pushing for a fourth is an excellent sign, as was another clean set. A couple of moments at the back but otherwise outstanding to torch that mob. Those fuckers are seriously lippy and now in serious trouble.

I’m looking forward to Arsenal, dead set, fuck the horse that mob of Tarquins rode in on, booed Emi in Smith’s last effort when we were trounced, rubbed our noses, apparently linked to Chuk and marching back into the top four apparently. Again last night gives me real hope a confident team can get something from the next two.

We look like a real team, full of running a threat every time we attack and some strong likeable personalities all over the pitch.

I was in the 3Cs club the other day for the first time in about 30 years, it hadn’t changed much.

The game, I’m not sure if we were brilliant or they were utter dog shit, maybe a bit of both. So many unforced errors from them. And to think I didn’t fancy us much before the game.

Our attacking options are now frightening. We could bring in two top wingers in Bailey and Traore on Sunday and play just one striker. It would completely change the dynamic. Not saying we should do that but it just shows the options we now have available. It's a good time to be a Villa fan right now.

Hmmm. I knew we were playing Leeds Thursday night, and I knew it was on Prime. So, I settled down to watch some Europa League nonsense.

Later that evening I got a text from Daughter No. 2 (the one that's become a Villa fanatic), saying "Isn't it great when Villa do well", to which I replied something bland.

Then I thought "Why did she say that?". Then "Oh shit, it's not Wednesday* today", by which time it was half nine. Fortunately Prime has a watch from beginning option, so I was late to bed!

Two things in particular struck me, apart from the obvious things: 1) Leeds repertoire of songs/chants is tiny 2) Doesn't Ings put a shift in off the ball

*I spent some time on Wednesday thinking it was Friday.

Very pleasing result.  Only seen the last half hour so can't judge our play too much.  Leeds looked very sorry for themselves of what I did see. They should have stuck with Bielsa as what was on show last night didn't look particularly good at anything.

When was the last time we won 3 in a row without conceding? And, without tempting fate, when was the last time we won 4 in a row without conceding?

Shout for Konsa too, at half time he was slapping everybody on the back as they came off. I thought it was one of the coaches at first, a fantastic attitude given he'd lost his place.
