CCR was just throwing it back at you as is his want
Take it, be glad that you were proved wrong no need to get on his case

I have to hold my hands up and admit I got it wrong. I predicted a narrow win, didn't expect it to be by 2 clear goals.

I did think Sanson should have been in for Luiz but considering he didn’t change it in the last match I wasn’t particularly surprised. Otherwise I didn’t really have a problem with the pick, I didn’t think we’d win today whatever he did because there appeared to be a lack of ‘something’ going beyond just a few selection changes. Fair play though, got the much needed win. Not really got a problem with people disagreeing with the selection though, just normal fan stuff really. We all have our favourite players and an opinion on who should be playing.

Haven't read the thread, I thought between the 1st and 2nd goal we were easily the better team. After we scored our 2nd our play really frustrated me though. Im hoping it was because of our previous results and Gerrard just wanted the win, but I feel its because he's more Rafa Benitez than Jurgen Klopp.

We all make predictions. I thought we'd lose, I saw the team I still thought we'd lose.

But then McGinn was immense but Luiz was terrible, Brighton were terrible. Watkins was terrible apart from his goal but he took it so well.

We all want to win but when the result falls either way, thumbing your nose and "told you so" is for the opposition.

Following some comments on here today, Al I can say is, we all want our team to do well and, we need to respect that some people have different opinions than others. Wouldn’t it be a very dull thread if we all said the same thing. Vive la difference!!

Look at that Mings pass. He looked for Watkins and was world class disturbiton. Commentator called it a big punt! SG clearly got them working on their shooting and passing I think in coming weeks we could be having lot more pleasure and entertaining fair.
Southampton Leeds and West Ham will all give up opportunities for goals and we have to take advantage. These passes by Mings sometimes are the best way out of things
Brilliant!

Saved me posting it Footy, thanks.  Commentator was a Dick for saying it; yet again proving that most of them know nothing about football.

Ings did a lot of work but he doesn't fit how we play, JM magnificent today but oh dear, Luiz, for a Brazilian his disposal is shocking. Liked the cameo form the young kid, not going to attempt to spell his name.

Sounds like we did to Brighton what Watford did to us last week, home team playing pretty ish football but not working the keeper?  With a very limited oaf like Maupay at centre forward they are massively over achieving to be on page 1 of ceefax - didn’t Konsa nearly chin him at full time in one of the lock down games?

it didn't matter how we won today as long as we did. Chuffed for Gerrard.

For those that saw the game how did Bissouma do?  Did he show enough to want to go all out to get him in the summer or do we look elsewhere for that #6 role?
