Four of our players booked yet there hasn't been a bad foul in the whole half.  curcurella is a disgrace for the dive and theatrics.  Should get a job on Eastenders. We've been ok so far without being dominant with the ball.

Oh come on, he’s a better actor than that!

Not great but we'll take it. Buendia on for Ings in the second half and put these to the sword.

Idk.. I think Ollie has to get the hook first. He is quickly proving to be surplus to requirements.

I would bring on Bailey for Ollie, straight swap.
Whatever your seeing from Ings I'm not seeing. It's like playing with 10 men.

They have both been rubbish, but Ings isn't on a yellow card at least.

I think Villa have done really well considering our form. rode the early storm. grabbed a goal, then sit back and let brighton pass it around to nowhere. made it a bit of a war too by getting physical which Brighton dont seem to like.

Pathetic from the ref, was obviously ukraine related.

The ref sadly had no option.

Of course he has, you take 2 seconds to confirm it was ukraine related and then show some basic humanity and leave the card in your pocket.

He's losing control of the game as well which means a red is coming soon.

Is there a law that says if you are making a political statement it's ok to take your shirt off then???????
The ref is poor agreed but here he had no option - the laws are the laws, the fact that we agree with the statement sadly doesn't affect the laws of the game

The ref can show balls and ignore the laws.

If that means losing a fee or two, it shows more balls than looking after yourself.

Ings needs to be in the middle.. instead he’s wider right with Coutinho playing high in the center.

I don’t think Ollie has completed a forward pass yet and has lost the ball at his feet at least 3 times.

Nah it’s not the ref, it’s the rule.

You don't know that the ref even saw the message, he could just have seen Cash take his shirt off, and booked him.

Exactly - it’s not the ref it’s the law anyway.

Considering he's let so many things go by their lot I don't think strict adherence to the laws is his forte.

And giving a Cash a warning (at most) would have sufficed in that scenario. I don't think whoever monitors his performance is going to mark him down for that.

The law on this one is an ass and anyone who tries to justify it in this situation is an ass as well.

I'm not trying to justify it, just merely point out that wether we like it or not the law is there. The yellow will not be reminded at all and `I doubt we would appeal it. There are plenty of rules we live under that we don't like, it doesn't mean that we change them  when we feel we have the moral high ground. I fully agree with Cash's comments on his shirt but am in no way surprised he was booked for it.  If the next player who scores takes his shirt off to reveal a comment about animal abuse should he be booked or not.. This is the kind of issue , who decides what is special dispensation and what is not, just insulting people saying they are an ass doesn't really help any argument. The referee is very poor indeed , has lost control and is allowing Brighton player to roll around as if they'd been shot. the replays show they were not touched . I fear there is a red coming!

but there's been plenty of people doing the same thing in games all over the place and refs haven't booked them all so it's not as simple as 'he had no choice', that's just a cop out, much like him booking Luiz.
