Not great but we'll take it. Buendia on for Ings in the second half and put these to the sword.

Did ok until Konsa gave it away

That was very poor from him.

Overall did ok as the half went on. I worry about the yellows - I can see a red for us here.

Considering he's let so many things go by their lot I don't think strict adherence to the laws is his forte.

And giving a Cash a warning (at most) would have sufficed in that scenario. I don't think whoever monitors his performance is going to mark him down for that.

The law on this one is an ass and anyone who tries to justify it in this situation is an ass as well.

Nah. He could have just lifted his shirt up to show his message. I don't think you can expect a ref in his 3rd Premier League game not to enforce an obvious rule breach. They do get marked on things like that.

Four of our players booked yet there hasn't been a bad foul in the whole half.  curcurella is a disgrace for the dive and theatrics.  Should get a job on Eastenders. We've been ok so far without being dominant with the ball.

Well 1-0 will do, but that was a shit half. Ing and Watkins might as well not be there for all the use they both are.

The message was to a Polish national team player whoh plays for Dynamo Kiev and is stuck there atm.
You'd hope in the circumstances the card would be rescinded. By any normal standards it's a daft thing to do, but given what's going on ...
Just put a photo of it on Instagram instead.

Idk.. I think Ollie has to get the hook first. He is quickly proving to be surplus to requirements.

I would bring on Bailey for Ollie, straight swap.

Better, particularly from Luiz and McGinn but we still lack any pace to our game, no pressing and far too deep.

Whatever your seeing from Ings I'm not seeing. It's like playing with 10 men.

Yes, that's a worry because Brighton have plenty of pace.  Hopefully we get Bailey on for either of the two forwards and do them on the break.

They, much like Bournemouth, their over-promoted tinpot cousins, are a niggly bunch of cheating bastards despite their nice, twee image.

We started badly but have battled and that shows me they are still playing for the manager - good sign.  We do look like we don't quite know what the plan is though.  There was a passage of play at the end there when we had 3 good chances to get close to the byline and cross the ball but kept passing it back through the lines.  That looked like we didn't know what the fuck to do.  Which is a bit worrying.  Ollie Watkins needs replacing, he's suffering from a total lack of confidence and being played in a system that just doesn't suit him.

Brighton are a horrible team - niggly and dull with more than their fair share of ******.
