I'm not too worried. We should have enough points already. It'll be pretty crap if it's the end of the season that saves us though.

One win and 3 points should be enough to secure our safety.

The club had decided they needed a change, the man they appointed has us still worrying about an outside chance of relegation after losing 4 in a row with 7 games remaining. So yes, the way football works it’s largely on him.

I'm a lot less worried about relegation now than I was after Smith's last game and as you say that's down to the manager so thanks to Stevie G.

Cheers fella, I find your posts amusing too.

Todays modern soccer fan has the patience of a nat!  Gerrard needs time to fix the very gaping problems he inherited. I’m not saying he will - but the very least he deserves is the opportunity now he’s been appointed. It takes more than 13 games that’s for sure.

Gerrard has the rest of this season and two transfer windows to stamp his mark - he will be judged on what happens at the start of next season, not what happens the remainder of this.

Saying Gerrard needs to go is hysteria of the very highest regard.

To show he’s trolling me?!  😀

Silly debate. We all have opinions, we change our opinions. If the point was to show I changed my opinion based on the most recent evidence, he succeeded.

It’s a bit of a ridiculous swing though wouldn’t you say?

One that even Peter Snow would have trouble measuring.

It's the last quote that's the most telling. We win 3 games on the spin, so what we can deduce is it takes 4 games to flip 180°.

Weird again from someone who very vocally stated Gerrard needed time.

I don’t think there are Gerrard apologists per se. I think it’s more that people are prepared to give him a bit of time and a pre-season before leaping to judgement. He might not succeed, but I personally think it’s too soon to decide that.

If I'm a Gerrard apologist, then I was a Smith apologist, a Brice apologist etc etc. Or a Villa supporter.
