If we could get 4 wins - out the remaining 7 games, which isnt impossible, I think that would be an ok end of the season and hopefully get us up to 12ish which wouldnt be bad all things considered and would get some of the feel good back

We just need to stop conceding soft early goals. We need to be right on it from minute one of games. This season has been pretty painful but we need to finish in a positive fashion.

Just another quick reminder that the season hasn’t finished yet.

I am firmly Gerrard in and he clearly has done better than Smith. However, we can all acknowledge that it has been disappointing since January. If anything, we were doing better before the big signings made in January.

Absolutely this. And as good as we were against Spurs first half we failed to score which suggests we need a top class striker too.

We've beaten both Palace and Leicester comfortably this season, so no reason we shouldn't be able to do it again.

Oh absolutely. We should beat Norwich, Burnley, Palace and have a chance against Leicester.

I'd like to give Liverpool and Man City a game but they will really be on it you'd think.
However, we beat Palace and Leicester in the early weeks of Gerrard, and our form was better then. Also we beat the barcodes reasonably comfortably under Smith and then put in a terrible show up there.
Our form, along with others in the middle reaches, has fluctuated wildly this season and teams go on winless or losing runs and then bounce back with a couple of wins.

So, actually, yes it must be our turn to win a game or two.

I'm discounting Liverpool and Man City from any possible additional points.

we need a bit of positive momentum. We have two really tough games left in Liverpool and Man City but we want to into that last game on a good run of results. Even a draw at Leicester would be good, although they're not exactly great, but it would at least stop the bleeding.

I know - the media has been so focused on Gerrard and Courtinho winning the league for Liverpool, we've missed the Joe relegating Villa story.

A win against leicester would be "most timely"

If Burnley stay up it will be at Everton’s or at the outside Leeds’, expense. Not ours.

It’s demoralising that we are even mentioned in this context.

No clue, he’s nowhere near “clearly better” than Dean Smith. At least Deano got us a few victories against some top half teams. Time will tell, but I can’t imagine anyone is convinced.

Yes that’s laughable comment. The only thing I can think of is that he has not managed to get sacked so far so he’s done better than Smith.
