Kessler going to MK Dons.

Looking forward to seeing this lad develop of the next season or so.

One of my mates is an MK Dons season ticket holder, I'll ask him for regular updates.
I always wonder how anyone over 25-30 ended up being an MK Dons fan. Not a sarcastic observation but a genuine question.

If you lived in / near MK, why not go watch them ?

Because they stole their club from thousands of fans miles away?

So, no one in North London should watch Arsenal ?

I'd wager there's barely a handful of people still alive in the UK who were born when Arsenal didn't play in North London, hence Exeter's comment about people over the age of 25-30.

Well, it was our own Steve Stride who was one of the three men on the FA commission that gave the move to Milton keynes the go-ahead. I think it's always worth remembering that there are now two clubs where there may have been none.

Is Plough Lane now ploughed on or is it in disrepair/housing stock ?

Neither, AFC Wimbledon play there!

edit: the original one was demolished. The new ground has the same name, but is set a few hundred yards from the original site.

And if the Villa were in the position Wimbledon were in back then, presumably you'd support the club upping sticks, moving to Worcester and them bulldozing VP for the wider good of football?

If it was that or go into liquidation, who knows?

Well, you.  I'm asking your opinion.

I'll help.  If the Villa were in that situation there's no chance I'd ever support moving them 100 miles away and carrying on with a different name.  I'd fight to keep the club alive, which was what the Wimbledon fans were doing.  But instead the club was stolen from them meaning they had to start again from nothing.  And the fact they've done it shows the will was there in the first place.

So if I lived in MK there's absolutely no way I'd support the stolen Dons.

If the club I supported was going out of business, I don't think I'd care. All the MK club really did was take a league spot which normally they'd have to have earned by going up the pyramid. If they hadn't moved, Wimbledon would have ceased to exist and they'd have to have started AFC Wimbledon anyway. If I still lived in Milton Keynes I'd probably go and watch the odd game, like I did in Wigan when I lived there.

You're probably looking forward to it more than Kaine is judging by the photos. https://twitter.com/KaineKeslerHayd/status/1488197231719108613

I suspect he's a bit gutted to be going out on loan again. He probably thought being recalled from Swindon meant he'd have time around the Villa first team rather than be sent out on loan again, albeit at a higher level.

He has a very high opinion of himself.

That's massively disappointing if that's the case. Hangers on filling their heads with delusions of grandeur without earning their way to first team action.
