I'm quite liking seeing some of our kids getting games at Championship clubs. It's giving me a reason to watch Championship football again.

JPB looking good, comfortable in possession, good vision and poachers instincts in the box. Needs some better boots though, he’s slipped a few times.

I commented on the other games thread that JPB seemed to have a problem with his footwear, so many times he slipped.  Otherwise, I enjoyed his performance tonight, he uses the ball very well and looks comfortable at this level, whilst giving the impression that he has it within him to give more.  I particularly liked his contribution to Stoke's goal, ie his incisive pass to Joe Allen, then his interception in the penalty box and his shot that hit the post.

Me too. It does feel like we might be on the brink of having a Southampton type production line of talent, but are in a better financial position to exploit it (both keeping the best talent, and having the resources to bring in the most talented young players from other clubs).

I thought JBP did alright last night as well although I'm not sure sending him to a team like Stoke was a good move.

A big part of the decision was Michael O'Neill apparently.

Aaron Ramsey on bench for Cheltenham v Wigan having recovered from Covid. He didn't come on. 0-0. Good point considering their form.

Why is Louie Barry not getting games? We’ve sent him on loan to get game time. Fk all at Ipswich and nothing at his new club. Strikers need to be banging in the goals. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. Maybe he would be better off at BH. But I also see the other side: if you can’t get in the Ipswich side…

Take no notice of me, just thought and really hoped he’d do well on loan.
Maybe he really isn’t ready just yet. That goal against Liverpool though.
