You could clearly see the incident on the TV footage.

It wouldn't have been so bad but one of the bottles landed right on top of Cashy's bare scalp.

Konsa took the lid off one of the bottles, and had a swig. Not sure that was the greatest of ideas tbh.

Nd because of these utter twats, everyone else continue to have drinks without lids.

At this rate I can see them banning bottled drinks completely.

That's not why they make you take the top off.

It is because if you leave a bottle with top on on the floor, if there's an emergency, they're a trip hazard.

I remember Dennis Lillee doing that at Edgbaston. Earlier he feigned to bowl a can back into the stand and everybody dived for cover.

Still trying to get my head around the commentators suggesting it was all the fault of our players for daring to celebrate.

Of course it was. We were the big bads who spoiled the party and Big Duncs return. I'm sure the press hadn't been bigging up Gerards first return to Everton as a manager, Digne's return and how Dunc would be instilling fight and erm bottle into the team and get them on winning ways.

It is the same reason when our fans invade the pitch after a big win, it is the return of the darkest times. If other fans do it, it is the magic of the cup.

Is that right ? Sure I’d been told before that it was so it couldn’t be used as a weapon ie: throwing a bottle with no lid would likely lose the contents and therefore the weight. Whichever way, I can see this being the end of bottles being handed out and contents going into plastic glasses.
And how long before this gets linked to the return of standing…..

Yeah, the poor chap is going bald but there was no need to highlight it.

Yep, it's definitely right. The whole missile thing doesn't help but it's not the main consideration. I can definitely see a bottleless future. Just whack pints in Caprisun pouches.
