He did ok at Spurs the other season when we won 2-0 but don't think he had much to deal with .

Fine keeper. Not sure why he's not liked on here. Does anyone want Chelsea's both number 1s here?

He did kind of set up the goal.

He assisted the assist.

What's his save percentage? Probably lower than Mings.

Looks like he will be playing tomorrow as if there is any doubt about Martinez fitness (and i still think the reasons provided for him coming off were a little dodgy) then he will be saved for Brugge.

God help us - if the defence feel as nervous about him as the supporters do!!

He's not as bad as has been portrayed.  It's just that when he's compared to a great he is understandably lacking. Is he any worse than Ramsdale for instance?

Yes, I think he is.  I'm never confident he's going to save anything really.

I am that confident in EMI these days.

He has conceded 42 goals from 92 shots on target against him in the 20 games he has played for the club, according to twitter

He showed composure and determination in establishing his right to warm up in the goalmouth at CP.

I don’t know how often he is able to work with the defence players at BH, but this season Emi doesn’t seem to be on the same wavelength with the back 2/3/4 either, possibly because they keep changing.

Ive seen him play ok at spurs new years day 2023, but they were poor and we protected him well. He also played against someone recently at home and was okish, but wobbly on corners, though we’ve been hugely spoilt with Emi just catching loads.

I cant get the euro semi final at home out of my head though. Slow coming off his line, paperhands. Im convinced 2 if not 3 of their goals that night Emi saves, then who knows. I know its unfair to compare him to Emi and we have had worse, he just seems big with a good kick and the occasional decent save.

In the spirit of fairness, I think I also read (maybe on here) that Emi's shot to save ratio is the 4th worst in the league, so he's been pretty shit too tbf.

Olsen is out domestic cup keeper by all accounts and don’t forget he played v West Ham.

I think him playing makes sense if Martinez is not 100% ok considering the game on Tuesday.

Emi Martinez would be preferred option for Brugge and given we are playing a relegation threatened Championship side opponent in FA Cup Olsen may not even have that much to do
