I don't want to piss on chips but Lucas Digne will be aware that he has only been called up because Real Madrid's LB Ferland Mendy has dropped out with an injured tibia.

Well yeah, but it’s still a good reward for him.

Sure, but Mendy's nearly always injured. But this time it's Digne getting the call to replace him over all the other guys. And normally it isn't.

I don’t think Digne will give one tenth of one single fuck about why he’s in the squad.

He’s in the squad and good luck to him, he’s been excellent for ages now.

We shall see if he gets a kick. Remember Kamara leaving his honeymoon or whatever and not getting his bib off once? :-)

I'll be chuffed if Bingo's ugly step-kid gives him a run out, no worries!

I shall wear my Euro 24 France top with the proud and imposing cock during the games in honour of Lucas Digne's call-up.

You can spot Digne having his tea with Les Bleus at Clairefontaine in the above 'reel'. It's Barcola's birthday and they sing an excruciatingly bad 'Joyeux Anniversaires', which is what you would expect of footballers. Still more dynamic than Oasis though.

Bingo's ugly step-kid?! I shudder to think...

Has Deschamps been sacked then?

Didier 'dental-saga' Deschamps is still there, making the ladies swoon.

One added advantage of Digne's call-up is that it will allow him to 'run the rule' over Bayern's Upamecano and Olise, ahead of our fixture.

Have to give Digne credit for his diary for Ollie Watkins goal
Absolute quality ball for Watkins to head in.
I still wouldn't mind seeing Maatsen at some point v Everton but Digne has been a danger on the left.
