The Evans MO is that, whatever the fans think, he'll think the opposite. He's not especially against the club at all - in fact, he was quite the sycophant towards Dean even when we were nose-deep in the soup. Because fans, you see, are everything that's wrong with the game, and Villa fans doubly so (how dare we be upset when a player leaves, when the team loses, etc etc).

So now the mood is one of general optimism? How unsurprising that Evans suddenly turns on his heel from craven club suck-up to Nostrodumbass of doom. How unsurprising.
