It was always risky to sit back. Some of our passing has been woeful.

Dominant for much of that half but not making it count in our forward play. Ramsey lost his man for their goal and Hause failed to cut out the cross. EM, MT playing well.
Great bit of skill by EM for our goal and Ings took the chance well.

Hause was ball-watching which is why the guy got his shot away. Poor.
Luiz having a bout of giving the ball away; as is Targett.

Add Traore to that.

I think that demonstrates why Gerrard is rumoured to be after a left back. Very weak and poor from Targett.

Targett was superb with Jack because Jack was able to carry the ball and keep it on that side. Targett was able to provide adequate cover. But when Jack was out or when he is asked to do more then he ultimately shows he’s quite a limited footballer. A very decent back up but not the progressive LB we need to support the attack and competently defend.

Tend to agree with this. He did well with Jack, but definitely a position where an upgrade is required now.

Finally managed to get free and catch the last 10mins of the first half. Mrs & kids gone off into town, main half time dilemma was whether time for a swim, but a cold Nile Special & plate of masala chips has won out, hopefully can get into the pool at full time.

A comfortable 26 degrees in Entebbe at 6pm.

Come on you Lions!

I wouldn't say we sat back. We had plenty of the ball but we have to learn to create chances from so much possession.

Well that's disappointimg when we been in full control . Brentford have been shit so it looked like a comfortable three points but we need to kill these teams off and go for the jugalar .. shame young aunt in bench cause target had made four terrible things .bendia JJ and Ings been good .. just hope we don't go in our she'll and Brentford boss it now .up to Gerrard now

Bugger the football……. Tell us more about the ‘young aunt’.

Good start, but then just got a bit sloppy.  They have only really threatened after mistakes we have made.

Not sure about some of the comments. Luis is doing well IMO as is Buendia. Their goal was quality and it’s the only time they looked like scoring. Clearly Traore isn’t fully fit and should be replaced. Over all though I though we were really good first half

Traore and Emi have been guilty. These are there for the taking we just need to put a few passes together.
