Need Philigene-Bidace for Traore at half-time.

Targett's final ball is woeful, it's always been his big weakness.

They are only in it because shoddy play from us. I hope SG gets into them, this should be a straight forward 3 points against a bunch of cloggers.

Great start, but we've messed about since the goal and got what we deserved.  Big test of Gerrards game management now

We still seem sluggish even though we dominated the first 40 minutes.  Poor movement up front and Targett is their best attacker.  Really disappointing to be going in level at half-time. Gerrard needs to get into them.  Traore needs to get into the game.

Just goes to show what happens when you think you are the bees knees! Thought we were all over them - what about that bit betweeen Ramsey and Burundi’s when they knocked it about between themselves about a dozen times. Can see a tirade coming from SG in the dressing room.

Would love to see this, but I am not sure Gerrard trusts him.

Let’s get a 2nd before HT
Exactly. We have to learn to create chances when we're totally dominating games. It's ridiculous that we ended up hanging on after we were so much on top. Although their goal was top drawer to be fair.

Brentford are crap.

We will win this if we concentrate.

I think that demonstrates why Gerrard is rumoured to be after a left back. Very weak and poor from Targett.

Targett was superb with Jack because Jack was able to carry the ball and keep it on that side. Targett was able to provide adequate cover. But when Jack was out or when he is asked to do more then he ultimately shows he’s quite a limited footballer. A very decent back up but not the progressive LB we need to support the attack and competently defend.

Disappointing not to be ahead at half-time. Sloppy end to the half has cost us so far.
We've looked ok, nothing special - Traore slows things down too much.
Ramsey and McGinn could dominate this more.
Ings and Buendia lively.
This is there for the taking. We need to up the tempo.

We were on top for 40 mins but only created one chance.  Bert not looking fit, which is understandable really.

We need to get better quality with our final ball and we will have chances to score second half.  Jansen to score for them from a corner?

I can't believe they're level. They hadn't had a sniff before then.
