Aston Villa vs Leicester City pre match thread
« on: December 02, 2021, 05:39:18 PM »
Sunday 5th December, kick off 4:30pm.

Could go either way. Draw would be OK I suppose, a win would be brilliant.

Please win Villa.

if the players take the belief and large parts of the 2nd half performance from Wednesday we’ll win this one. I’m going 2 nil Villa.

Why are you part-timers worrying about the score? The only metric that matters is the number of available tickets. Tinpot club. Disgusted.

I needed to think about something else as ticket sales was causing me  a meltdown.

Vardy to score his yearly goal at Villa Park - but Villa to win 2-1

Gotta be looking to beat this lot. They haven't kept a clean sheet in the premier since August so they're iffy at the back. 2-1

What looked a tricky one a few weeks ago looks a little simpler to predict now I think. Play as we did during Wednesday's second half then I can see us winning, anything below that level leaves us vulnerable, particularly when you factor in Vardy, who is a proper pain in the arse to us. The team selection will be fascinating once again with the manager having options and despite it being a Sunday the atmosphere should be good following on from the feel good factor bought about by the midweek display, if not the result.

I also expect to see the people who stood and applauded our ex captain on Weds to afford the same respect to a player who never wanted to leave.

3-1

Somebody a few days ago suggest playing McGinn as one of the 10's, I really like this train of thought.

                                                                  Martinez

Cash                                         Konsa                           Mings                                     Targett

                                                                 Nakamaba
                                                    Sanson                     Luiz

                              McGinn                                                                    Buendia
                                                                   Watkins

Albrighton is a proper Villa man and deserves a good reception.

I've already emailed a club asking them to post an Albrighton tribute video on their twitter feed along with the possible minutes applause during the game for him.
