I don’t think any game is a “free hit”, particularly if it’s at home. However, there is less pressure on this purely because we’ve bought ourselves a bit of breathing space with our last two results.
After reading that Torygraph puff piece in which Joe bangs on about how close he came to leaving three years in a row I hope he gets absolute dog's abuse from every corner of Villa Park. And I hope Purslow never, ever invites him to any of our games again. He's a Judas.

We're playing a team from the same division as ourselves, and if we don't play like we believe we can actually get something from the game, we shall get our arses handed to us.
He'll be nowhere near their squad tomorrow, despite Guardiola's bleating. You heard it here first.

This is a free hit for us. Not expecting to get a result, so if we can get anything, it will be bonus.
What jars with me is the insinuation that we ‘owe’ him something. He’s a top quality footballer who was made into that by Aston Villa. If there is any ‘owing’ going on, it needs to be in the opposite direction. On the verge of joining Spurs and being disappointed, on the verge of joining man United. Thanking us for getting him to Man City. Wanting to come back and canter out his declining years here. You can roll all that up nice and tightly and stick it up your fucking arse Jack.
