Another good performance today. Very consistent this season

Well into 'name me a better right back' territory.

I was thinking back to those lists of possible replacements when his was the position that everyone was demanding an upgrade, and how few obvious upgrades there were even before his renaissance.

I reckon he's overtaken at least three or four of the few names who were obviously better.

The concern is who does replace him when we need to

The best thing I can say about Cash is that I almost don't even notice when he plays well now. He's not just gone up a level, he's gone up there with consistency. Very impressive.

Matty’s improvement is testament to his own self belief and determination and the skills of the coaching staff. We can live with the big boys, purely because the coaching staff  can bring out the potential in all our players and add value. Hence, why we got what we did for Diaby, Duran and Ramsey. I love Ramsey but today he no longer looks the £40 mill player he once was.

Maybe we’ll see Rogers for 120 mill one day and then maybe he’ll  drop off.

Wise players will stick with Unai if they have the choice.

Cross that bridge when we come to it. The priority for now is to have a backup who can do a reasonable job covering.

Garcia has shown some promise but looks a bit short defensively. It'll be interesting to see how a year of mens football has impacted Rowe because I think he has huge potential and he seems to be getting a lot of game time.

Konsa, as he has done last few seasons. Hopefully Garcia develops to the point that Emery sees him as viable starting option in big games. Wouldn't be amazed if he starts on Thursday.

He's been pretty much flawless this season. I can't remember any of the brain farts he used to have.

Yet another player who's made me look a div.

Has to be on the shortlist for our player of the season, he’s been fantastic.

He sold Konsa out in the first game which led to the red card, he's been superb since.

I've always thought the criticism of him was over the top anyway though because a huge part was around him always playing safe and going back instead of throwing in crosses but that was clearly tactical and I'm not sure it was fair to blame him for it.

What they've worked on though is that when he does avoid the cross he now often instead drifts in and adds himself into the midfield (this is really noticeable when Bogarde is playing because then Bogarde steps back into the defence in his place).

He has, absolutely brilliant both in a defensive and attacking sense.
