You’re conflating things though - other games aren’t really relevant. The cross wasn’t great but it wasn’t unusual for a cross like that to be pulled back. It was weird that it took everyone out of the game - that was bad from the midfield. But even then the centre halves could have dealt with it. They didn’t, specifically Konsa, and that resulted in the red card.

Cash is far from perfect, but he isn’t responsible for the red card.

Other games aren't relevant? Bring back Carlton Cole, he scored a couple on the opening day.

They’re not relevant to blaming Cash for the red card today. I understand if people think we could get a better right back, I agree with that, but blaming him for the red card is just reaching.

Is the correct answer.

It was a poor cross but there's dozens of those every week in the PL. The 3 players that were back were awful positionally which is why 1 simple pass seconds later led to the red card and that doesn't happen dozens of times a week.

Another poor bit of play not one attacking player was near the edges of the box centrally, which they should have for both a potential knockdown or rebound or to stop a counter. If someone is there on the edge of the D then it's a case of stop the attack at source and take the yellow.
