We’ve dropped a bolllock letting Diaby go, he could cover Bailey and play central. Now we’re relying on a right back or a kid who’s not ready for this standard just yet.

Yes. We see hitting our head on the FFP ceiling designed to keep us in our place.

Cash isn't a winger. That we're reduced to playing him there just shows how bad the summer's recruitment was.

Cash has a huge heart and you can’t fault his attitude. He’s not a bad right back, but a few times today he’s found himself in great positions but he hasn’t got that quality to do anything with it. I’m sure we (us the fans, not the owners) didn’t quite realise how bad the finances were.

Then don't spend what we have got on Maatsen and Philogene.

Yep. Being lop-sided was fun for a while, but now it ain't.

I’m still glad we have Maatsen, we still need him. Philogene however isn’t quite where we need him to be. I’m not sure if the money we spent on him would have got us much better. Considering we originally went for Felix until the money became an issue.

He’s just not good enough when he’s pushed forward. I don’t mind him at right-back, but further forward he just isn’t adept enough. We’re being killed by Bailey struggling this year and Philogene
just looking woefully out his depth. The fact Cash is playing where he is isn’t a ringing endorsement of the summer.

Defensively not good enough. Muscled off the ball embarrassingly easily for their winner

He has been not good enough for ages now, but we seem to spend all our 'full back attention' on left backs, whilst it's this waste of space or an out of position centre half.

Eh...he was played out of position tonight. It worked at Leipzig against one of the most tactically inept sides I've ever seen. It was never going to work tonight against Forest who were very organised. That's on Emery not Cash. McGinn could have played on right, Cash RB and we could have avoided yet another Konsa/Carlos disasterclass.

Last season Bailey was incredibly good, maybe one of the stand out wingers in all of Europe from around late October. When you add the high bar Dougie and Kamara set together along with lots of goals coming from Ollie, Dougie, Diaby and Bailey regularly chipping in, we was a much bigger threat going forward.

We’ve not hit anywhere near that attacking form this season. Baileys form is a huge part in this, I’m sure.

We’re lucky to have Duran in form, otherwise we’d be really knackered.

We didn’t need Maatsen! Digne and Moreno were perfectly fine.  So fix the fucking right back position instead? No.  Didn’t Oneill suffer from the same disease?

Have you watched us when that centre-half is in position?
