Can you imagine someone posting up their 'not so favourite moments'  on a Smith Appreciation thread? What an utter fucking misery arse. His life must be a hoot.

Sad to see you go Dean. Thanks for picking us up when we were on the floor. Thanks for giving us some great memories. Thanks for taking us back to the PL.  You gave it your best shot.
Thank you for so much above all giving us our dignity back
The greatest of luck and success to you in whatever you choose to do in the future
Thanks

Rotherham was my favourite Dean Smith performance. Losing and down to 10men. Changed the formation, went for it and won. Still my favourite ratboy goal too.

Whilst he was Brentford I'd see him waiting for his daughter doing the Walsall Youth Jazz stuff at Forest Arts with my son.  He was always on his phone, so never plucked up the courage to chat, but was begging in my own mind that Villa would pick him up.

My lad stopped going as he moved into another Sixth Form as Smith got the job.

I'd still love to pluck up that courage to thank him for rescuing us from the doldrums, stopping us from being the laughing stock we were & putting a smile on our faces again.

My life is completely and utterly ace, thanks for the concern though Clamps. For the hard of thinking, the title includes the word 'reflection'. As we look upon Dean Smith's time at Villa, there have been ups and downs. There is no day without night, no yin without yang. As ever, your main contributions to this board are having a go at other fans. If that's what makes you happy, then so be it.

Even you must be capable of seeing the difference between the real intent of a thread and it’s literal title.

Although I think his time was up I’m incredibly sad tonight.  Hope he’s having a few beers up the Scott Arms.

The period I loved best was when he first came in and we just went for it in every game pretty much.  That period ended when Grealish got injured after we had outplayed Smethwick on their own patch.

For someone who has been banned from here a few times, are you talking from experience? Thanks for the advice though.

I created the initial thread now merged with Nigel’s to keep things positive. Reflection related to appreciation. We have other spots to discuss his failings. Let’s not turn this into something negative.
