Thank you Dean - you did us and yourself proud. 

I wanted you and Jack to lead us to glory more than a 40 year old man should want anything football related!!

The last 3 years have given me some of the best moments supporting Villa.

I remember reading on the forum during the dark Steve Bruce championship days that things were as bad as in the late 80s but there was no sign of a Graham Taylor riding over the horizon to make it all better.  We’ll you were that man and you’ll always have a special place in Villains hearts because of it - and it made it even more special that you were own of us

Great man, great manager. He succeeded wildly but it's come to an end, as everything does.

I think some of the players need to take hard look at themselves.

We all know the CM has been a problem and we’ve basically got the same CM as when we first came up.

The players don’t look fit.

I think some will be found out big time should a top class manager come in.

Sounds a complete far-fetched conspiracy theory to me. If someone you worked with got a job offer and you advised him to take it, it's none of the bosses' business and you certainly wouldn't get sacked for it unless he wanted a wrongful dismissal case on his hands.

I loved having Dean Smith as manager. I can’t remember feeling this sad to see a manager go since Little left.

I’m not completely surprised, the calendar years results haven’t been good enough, but I think he had a difficult job to integrate the new signings, particularly with Bailey and Traore being injured. In many ways the Watford game put him under pressure. We had a tough run of fixtures following that and the games post Wolves  the pressure has clearly got to the players. Some of that is on Dean, but the time it’s taken some if the newer players to settle and individual errors from established players  isn’t 100% his responsibility.

I think aside from feeling bad for Smith personally I feel worried that the things that have been working well with the youth players coming through could be turned upside down with a new manager coming in.

Yeah I wasn't having a pop. Just think its much more likely Terry and ROK had their own agenda's for leaving or maybe Smith wanted a change, rather than the board tracking down anyone they deemed to be disloyal over Grealish.
