This is a wheels falling off the clown car season, and something needs to be done asap to stop the rot.

He will blame the referee but we deserve to lose. Too many players have let themselves down.

Queue the pundits saying we will deserve to go down if we sack Smith.

we are in a relegation battle now for sure. We have to hope that the Toon don't buy their way out of trouble in Jan.

Why?

Make a change and we can probably string together 2-3 wins and 2-3 draws before 2022 and that will get us to 20 points + and back to mid table.

Just don't get this idea we should just wait months of the season out of blind loyalty to DS before getting to Feb and suddenly realising we need to make a change.

Reminds me of when we took way too long to sack Lambert in 14/15 and then we suddenly started winning a few games at the start under Sherwood.

1-4.

Dean, I love you. Thank you very much for giving us our club back but please, I beg, leave before the memories are tarnished.

Ref has been shocking. But this is the kind of result and game managers on their way out get. No luck, but with 11 we were of the pace.
exactly, this is what happens, when you need a bit of luck you get the opposite.

You cannot lose 4-1 at home, the 4th defeat in a row and survive as manager.

Young looked to roll his eyeballs when taking instructions from Smith then.

Although what those instructions might actually hope to change at this point is beyond me.

You misread my post. I'm not advocating keeping him. I am saying we are in the shit right now. we need to act now.

I think he'll survive this game.

I don't see him surviving losing to Southampton though. 5 defeats in a row, two week international break and we'll be barely above bottom 3.

You cannot/should not do a lot of things that DS did today.

Giving up goals with 4 defenders behind the ball, down a man or not, is unacceptable.
