Why aren't we playing the team that finished the match on Saturday? I just don't get this cup team attitude. Pathetic.
You've had enough years to get used to it. This is what comes of supporting a Bottom 14 team

Yes I know but..... it's still galling.
This. I think it's one of the saddest aspects of Modern Football, where domestic cups aren't taken seriously because of financial reasons. What are they about if there is never any serious intentions of teams going for glory?

You never know, though (runs and hides)!

Whilst I expected a weakened team , Im disappointed. This is our best chance to win a trophy. We should go out to win it. Andy Jacobs also made that exact point today on Talk Sport about us and arsenal.

Weak bench as well.

Absolutely infuriating and disrespectful to the competition and the Travelling support.

This cup is probably our best chance of silverware and we throw it away. Chelsea have much bigger things to aim for and they have Lukaku on the bench and we have neither Watkins or ings.

Sorry but Aston Villa should treat this cup with more respect , 5 times winners and we put a team out like this against very strong opposition

Disgrace and I feel sorry for all those that have travelled down

Give it a rest eh? Nobody’s kicked a ball yet and you’ve already wet the bed as usual.

It's about money. Premier League clubs are terrified that somewhere in the world there's a couple of quid they might miss out on.

How is an 18 man matchday squad signed for about £120m disrespectful to the competition?

I don’t really understand the bench. I get changes to the starting line up, but we should have a stronger bench.

Also surprised by how strong the Chelsea line-up and bench are.

Then again, they have a second eleven most of whom would walk into all but the half dozen best teams in the world.

It would probably be difficult for them to not put out a very strong side.

I get that but with their CL commitments I didn't expect Kante or James to be playing or Lukaku on the bench. Probably a bit easier for the home team when there isn't a 5-6 hour coach trip on top of the time they're at the ground.

Cash, Young, Buendia, Traore, Nakamba (who was excellent on sat) - a disgrace?

I’m sure they value your never ending support.

I bet Saul's relieved Jacob Ramsey isn't playing.
