Utd away
« on: September 20, 2021, 11:20:58 AM »
Fingers crossed none of those who had to come off with injuries on Saturday will be out at the weekend.  None of them went straight down the tunnel so hoping none of them were serious.  At full strength I can see us giving Utd a game!

We've already beaten them 2-0, mate.

They were unlucky to lose to the Plastics yesterday. Not sure what Moyes was thinking bringing Noble off the bench to take a last minute pen.

It's the "Southgate" Approach To Scoring Penalties.

Would we have done the same with El Ghazi?

Just like with Noble - their records speak for themselves but surely you would need to have a "feel" of the game rather than it be first touch

I am glad that the ref did not fall for Plastic heads histrionics (even though at least one of them were def pens) - i fear at Mold trafford the results might be different

I don't think Jedinak touched the ball before smashing home his penalty against Albion in the playoff semi.

It was a reference to the Mark Noble coming off the bench to miss a penalty debate above.

Though there isn't really any point of this thread as we already have a pre-match one.

I think the only point of this thread is to speculate who is meant by "Utd". I didn't think we'd drawn Oxford in the cup?

The United game on Saturday must leave them all wondering when they'll get their first win. One place above relegation with 3 points from 5 games has certainly quietened down their fans. United relegated?

I think it's been put on ice/deleted until after the midweek game.

Johnny X is the one to keep an eye on.
