We are at home, I think we should be making teams worry about us.
As you say a lot of talent on the bench.

Looks like it's to counter cautious Rafa but I agree with you and with Pickford, Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin out we should be going for it. If we're not winning 2nd half Bailey and Buendia on please with at least 35 mins to go.

Far too early in the season for a "must win game". But I can't help feeling this is a "must win game".

It’s a must win game.
Formation ok as long as we’re always getting plenty of players in front of the ball, certainly till we’re winning anyway.

Wasn't this the formation that allowed us to get on top of Chelsea and create countless chances? Does it therefore follow that it's perhaps not a negative approach. Great options from the bench too.

Yup, plenty of options to correct the error.

The onus will not be on Everton, as it was for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, to come and break us down.  So, it could well be a war of attrition.

Well we need to embrace squad rotation so I'll put it down to that. Come on Villa!

That's not how I saw the Chelsea game, our wing backs were very high, it wasn't a flat back five sitting deep.

Well let's hope it works today (and we get a good result this time too!)

The form Gray and Townsend are in our wingbacks could be pushed right back turning that formation into one with about 8 defensive players, although reports are saying Gray will play as a 10 so god knows.

Are we playing today? Sky haven't mentioned us once. I quite like that.  Pressure off.

I don't like 3 at the back and never will but I do like the amount of firepower on that bench. I just hope he's willing to make changes early enough to have an impact.
