As good as I’ve seen us play for a while.  We may not win but this is all very promising

You can not spurn chances like this at this level, watch when Chelsea next get a chance

We're playing some good football, I'm pretty happy with what I've seen tbh.

Ultimately no matter what we've spent they've just dropped nearly 100m on one of the best forwards around in world football so that's the difference I'm afraid.

Mings booked, great. This ref is going to send one of ours off isn't he before too long.

The amount of shots Watkins scuffs and doesn't strike cleanly!

This is some of our best football of the season so far.  A basic error aside, we've arguably been the better team against one of the Premier League annual procession teams.

Axel shitshow aside, Chelsea look like the side who don't normally play 3-5-2

They're not, they're playing 5-4-1 (or 3-6-1 if you prefer). We are doing okay apart from the goal, but "apart from the goal" is a fairly massive caveat. If having three centre-halves isn't enough to stop Lukaku scoring that, what's the point in wasting a place on a centre-half that could be used on a player who might help us get a goal?

Better team for me so far, love the tenacity of the midfielders, particularly McGinn.
Undone by world class midfielder playing it through and class finish.
No disrespect to Watkins who is causing them problems but if Lukaku has his two chances he’d put them away, that’s what £90 odd millions gets you.

Maybe a Watkins that hadn't been missing for a few weeks with injury would have put that away, too.

Refs piss poor. Mcginn is a totally different player when given more freedom.
