Flatters them massively, but that's how it is. They really are very boring, but they've got Lukaku so that's how it's going to be.

Doesn’t help when you have defenders literally giving it to them on a plate.

Oh Risso, you're better than this. ☹

So frustrating.  They have a 100m striker and the ref and they win.

This has not been a 3-0 game. With Martinez on the pitch he saves at least two of the goals.

No way you can blame Steer for this. Missed chances in the first half killed us. I know Watkins is just coming back from injury but compare and contrast with regards to Lukaku.

Unreal finish!

The European championships with the addition of a £100m striker, and we've pretty much matched them, arguably been the better side for large parts.

Sorry Bob but I agree with Adam. Martinez gives the whole back 4 more confidence and they would not have scored three goals

Yup ifs and buts indeed.  The captain of the club we support will put his hand up to a bad error and knuckle down to improve in the week.

At least one poster in this thread might want to think about what their improvement plan is, after the disgusting comments about our skipper.  A long hard look in a mirror would be a good start point !

Totally agree. Matched them for much of the game.

I'd not bet against Lukaku finishing as the top scorer across European leagues this season. He was the difference. Ollie still has a way to go.

Left our shooting boots at Bodymoor.
Very much a should have, could have game.

At the start of the season the expectation was that winning at the home of the Chumps League champs would be a big ask in which everything would have to fall in our favour.

They didn't, which is why we lost.

Already 2-0 down when I started watching, but you wouldn’t have known it from the play. Looked like Villa gave it a good crack. Chelsea pretty solid in defence though, plus the ref giving them everything of course.

We actually gave Chelsea a game. Gifting them a goal or two doesn't help , but that referee was shocking. I'll be surprised if Deano doesn't vent his spleen post match interview and probably get a fine.
