If you’re going to completely fuck about with your formation, you don’t want to be doing it at fucking Chelsea, and you want someone slightly better acquainted with tactics than Dean fucking Smith.

Where the fuck was the midfield and why was the defence all over the shop?! Their player literally had the whole of the middle of the pitch to run in to with no Villa players anywhere near him.

Tuanzebe was an odd signing anyway. For the loan fee we paid we could've bought and burtured one of our own. Acquired by the strength of his championship season and looking every inch a championship player.

We're making chances, at least.

Those blaming the system...you know we're playing against a 3 centrebacks formation, right? Like, you can count and stuff?

Yes, same as they played at Villa Park when we beat them, with a proper formation.

When you have world class players in every position and a world class manager, formations are less important.

This is going to be a very long Evening. Absolutely ridiculous starting line up and this could be expected. we have no f*****g midfield.
Wasn't your game last night?

not in the mood for stupid jokes.

It's a evening game Wednesday against Fulham.

Before they went off to win the Champions League. With a non-proper formation.

I mean as a gag it's got stale, but are we seriously pretending that this is our biggest problem today? We irrationally hate this formation and that's that?

It's true. I've heard people defending five at the back before on the basis that Guardiola sometimes plays it. Because obviously the formation is the secret of their success, not the fact that every player in the squad cost a trillion quid.

I fear for us when they push forward but these aren't bomb-proof at the back and we've already opened them up twice.

One nil down defence looking shaky
But as daft as it sounds still playing better than I thought we would
