Can't get round our crap midfield for me. It will need help considering Chelsea are very strong there, but I can't see him straying far from his usual formation. There's always hope and with our run of games, a point would help a lot, but you've got to be realistic as well.

A win is highly unlikely, but more than anything I hope we don't resort to Steve Bruce Hoofball©

I don't know whether Chelsea have any Brazilian players, but if they do they'll be out of this match (if they were picked and didn't go). Their FA has applied the 5 day rule.

Isn't he a bit slow and old now? Although they've just sold Zouma so I dunno how good their other options are. There must be about 50 senior players with Chelsea FC contracts though, I'm sure they'll be fine.

I fancy us for a point. Dunno why. But it's the Villa, they rarely do what we expect.

Is Barkley in their official squad for the season? Can't believe we took on his and Drinkwater's wages for such little return....no other club would touch them with elongated bargepoles.

Nope...seems like Rosco has taken a bit of a sabbatical career wise. To think we were reportedly looking to sign him permanently after his winner at Leicester...Drinky gone on loan to Reading. They are both finished.

He's in their champions league squad though, so Southgate might call him up again before long.

he hasn’t started a game this season.
So not exactly a game changer.

Aye. Anyway the last thing we want is them changing from three at the back and sticking another body in midfield.
