Lampard? heh
Him or Eddie Howe if we're in bottom 3 come November
Worst case scenario.
With all the international players away and team not integrates.

I don't want that I want top 6 /8 November and healthy position

Villa in mid-season crisis is the absolute last place for Frank Lampard.

Actually yes. Potter and I sure he wouldn't resist!
Would fit well.
I prefer Smith but yes Potter would do well

Villa in mid-season crisis is the absolute last place for Frank Lampard.
He wouldn't get much bigger than Villa .
All said and done Smith proved he can keep us up. So I would stick with him all season whatever happens.
It's only been one game but we know how quickly things change in football.
I read more than one occasions on here before this season started  it's a make it break season for Smith. I didn't agree with that at the time upon reading but with the expectations and a disappointing loss first match starting to think a little more about that

Still early though

So erm.. What is the formation without Bailey, Bertie and Ollie then?

Emi in goal and then ten of us off here selected at random.

My calf with go about 15 minutes in but I'm good for a couple of goals before it does.

Bruce will set us up for the counter.
If Willock's fit to start, we'll be ok. If not, we'll play like we did against West Ham; surrendering the centre of the park, aiming to hit our attackers with long balls.

I've no real excitement for the season, to tell the truth. Ashley is still here, Bruce is still here, no signings beyond a lad we had on loan last season.

But at least we've got an exciting attacking unit and a couple of decent 'keepers. Should be enough to keep us out of the relegation spots. Yay, I guess.

Ast 2-1 New, I reckon

Watkins and Traore out.  Nothing on Bailey so assume he's ok.  I think it'll be a comfortable 2-0 win.

I see Smith says he doesn't expect Watkins to play tomorrow. Hopeful that he'll be back for Brentford. I hope this doesn't turn in to one of our famous should be back soon probably within two months injuries. Why is it that our our injured players always seem to take so much longer to return?

I think I might need to change my prediction.

Anyway, it's going to be amazing to be back with a full ground for the first time in ages. Bring it on.

hah I hope he does surrender the centre. Judging from our last game we'd already withdrawn our forces before kick-off.

Hope Bailey is fit. With someone like that we have a great chance, like Sar last week destroying us in the first half.

No Watkins.  If Bailey is fit then hopefully it will be:

Cash   Konsa    Mings    Targett

                 Luiz
     Mcginn         Ramsey

Bundia         Ings          Bailey

I think until we get in a proper DM Dean won't risk just playing Luiz there and more likely double up with SJM with Ramsey playing behind the strikers. Either way, at least on paper, it's still a bloody good team.

I'd play a keeper as well though. Sorry, couldn't resist it.
