It is going to be a horrible one. For Fistface. 3-1 to us after going behind.

Whatever happens, I would like to see an end to our defence playing socially-distanced, slow-motion tiki-taka for 5 minutes then hoofing it over the midfield each time they have to bring the ball out.

If Newcastle outnumber and out-work us in midfield, aimless tiki taka (Bill Hicks JFK style) and HOOF is exactly what we'll see.

We have to win. Dean will go for it and pick an attacking side. Bailey and Buendia left and right. Ramsey and Nakamba with SJM at 10. Watkins to miss out. Luiz on the bench. I will go 1-0 Villa.

I'd imagine Bruce will look to hit us on the break so perhaps not too gungho.

it would be a brave decision to not play Watkins if fit. The transfer window is still open.

1-1
Newcastle to take an early lead and Villa to claw it back in the second half with a more spirited display

Confident about this. Smith regularly out-thunk Bruce when we played Brentford - I’d have left the one game down there at half time if it hadn’t been pissing down with rain and a fair trek back to the station .I expect the same this time. 3-1 Ings to grab 2 of them

I think we’ll win this 3-0  don’t care who scores but hope Ollie is in and AEG and Marv are out. But if we haven’t scored in the first 30 seconds don’t panic, it will come

Assuming Watkins is fit I think I would go:

Martinez

Cash
Konsa
Mings
Targett

Nakamba
Ramsey

Bailey
McGinn
Buendia

Watkins

We can bring Ings on and go two up front if required.
