Targett barely put a foot wrong all last season but had a torrid time today.

He needed help though and didn't get any until it was too late.

He'll be back next week and he'll be at it I have no doubt.

After a 4 year hiatus from this site I see nothing has changed 😊
see you in 2031

It's actually a four day hiatus anyway.

Buendia has been awful. Bloody terrible debut.
The villa curse when decent players come here they turn shite.

Buendia is very lightweight.

This was always my concern with him, he struggled with the pace and physicality of this league last time, I really hoped he'd learned in the championship but he's been bullied out of the game today.

Hmm maybe we really were a one man team after all.

Buendia hasn't looked very good, neither has Ings. The rest of the team look like they always do without Jack (not very good).

On the plus side we have Bailey and Traore on the bench and Watkins to come back.

If we are going with two in central midfield then we need to buy two better players or we will be flirting with relegation not Europe. Otherwise we need to pick a three and have Ings as a impact sub / backup for Ollie.

These will take every chance they get to roll around the pitch and waste time. We might only have twenty minutes actual football to score at least two goals in.

Our set pieces look slightly worse now we’ve got a specialist coach for them.

Mings booked. Makes up for getting away with one in the first half.

They could do with taking a leaf out of the U23 performance and result from last night.
