What is he doing now? Every corner is just knocked into the centre of the goal no variation at all. Plus the free kick on the edge of the box - just banged into the wall.

He's saving all his new routines for the Portuguese. :(

Don't be sad, I doubt he will last a week.

Nonsense, after a couple of games they'll be calling him MacPheego.

Good Luck to MacPhee who will be working with Portugal over the international break though ideally he should be committed to Villa players and squad during this crucial period.

We could excuse it when MacPhee was with his own nation but now he’s left Scotland. Archie is a Villa coach first and foremost -maybe he has some ties or has portuguese affiliation?

Anyway his coaching pre and in game matches for set plays will be 2 quarter finals v Denmark in nations league. 20th and 23rd.

He could still be doing Scotland a favour if he helps them win, as it'll mean Scotland play Denmark rather than Portugal in World Cup Qualifying which, at least by rankings, should be a slightly better draw.

There’s a conflict of interest during this international break with the club.
McPhee is needed for set play duty with those in dubai.
It’s complete folly for Villa to have a coach be allowed to go on international duty at such a crucial time.

I agree. Our players shouldn’t be going on international duty either. Folly.

He really needs to get them lining up properly for the canteen.

christ - imagine the mess in the canteen.  Bailey insisting he gets served first despite the queue.

Digne and Youri dropping there plates as they crash straight into the wall.

Watkins trying to get and of the scraps they drop but missing his mouth.

Saw him yesterday, he was very generous with his time toward the couple of young Villa fans who approached him, fair play, seemed a nice fella.

How many corners did we have in the FA cup semi final and what did we do with them? Nothing.

We looked more threatening from corners than from open play. I said at half time we should have brought Onana on as they looked vulnerable from set pieces. Might have worked. Obviously, that's not MacPhee's call.

Wasn’t it like 10 corners to 1 in our favour?

I dunno the stats. I just felt they looked a bit panicky from some of them, and survived more by luck than judgement. Stick a 6'5" or whatever bloke in there and you never know.

Palace defended well. We had one corner with a bit of ingenuity. But from our point of view we made it easy for them.
