Unai Emery: "Leon Bailey is not being like we want but today he played 20 minutes and I think the best 20 minutes of the season.

“McGinn and Youri Tielemans did a big effort because we have three players out in that position. And they played fantastic."

Leon looked really good when he came on, hope he continues that form into the next match on Tuesday if he plays.

Leon looked really good when he came on but Unai should tell him to shoot sometimes. He doesn't always have to look for the pass.

Much better today from leon. All the competition  now hopefully given him a kick of the back passage

Leon looked much more like he did last season tonight. Came on and really drove at them and created problems - very encouraging.

Really?  Looked a bit livelier, but still.had the ball in great positions three times in their box and gave it away every time.

I thought he looked a lot sharper, you can see in his body language more than any other player I think.

I can’t say it any better than Unai, well, actually I can but it would have the same meaning.

I don't think he has a problem with shooting but I think he sometimes takes it one trick too far before he tries to shoot. He might have scored last night but he attempted one trick too many.

This was how he started that good run of form coming on and delivering some really good 20-30 min cameos. Here’s hoping for a reboot.
Absolutely.

I recall that last season, in interviews he said he took ages to recover his confidence from that last minute miss versus the Wulfs at VP the season before!).

I swear he hasn’t been the same player since that miss on the opening day versus the Spammers.

Sensitive lad, Leon.

Here’s to hoping history repeats itself!

Bailey had the best shot at goal of the first half, had a couple of other times with no support, and assisted one of the goals. A few times he did slow play, but so did others. I'm sure people will pick on him though.

Got an assist, that’ll do.

One shot straight at the keeper you mean? He slowed down all our attacks, and his passing at times was so bad.most of attacks broke down because of him.

One goal in league  all season not good enough  in my opinion

Yet again he was very poor.

But got an assist late in a game, that’ll do.
