In a fight to save his Villa career at this point. Which is sad as last season whether starting or off the bench he did the business for us. A shell of that same player currently.

Maybe it was easier last season coming off the bench, less pressure and more opportunity to exploit tiring full-backs.

Hopefully Malen will give him the competition he needs to fight for a place.  Unfortunate not to score tonight, but overall play poor.

The blame tonight lies with Emery , Bailey should of been nowhere near the starting XI

Easy to criticize him, and yet again was very underwhelming, so why did he start?

Can only assume Ramsey couldn’t start after the Everton game and Onana out as well it was needs must but with Malen available for West Ham you’d think/hope that’ll be Bailey out the team for a while. Over to Malen now and how Bailey reacts.

Fuck him off in the summer now, he's been piss poor too many times in 3 years. Get some cash for him whilst we can.

Like I’ve just said I really wonder whether it’s to do with how he responds to pressure and maybe he prefers to share the load. Hope that’s the case because Malen will help that.

I think this was is - he could play himself into form.  Hes clearly a confidence player and I think he benefited from less preasure when he was off form

Why wait til the summer , if any takers sell now to somebody desperate . Use the income to strengthen elsewhere .

It's a lot more than taking his man on.  There was a floated ball out to him in acres of space in the first half.....rather than anticipating it and backing up to control it, he reacted way to late and it glanced off his head out for a throw-in.  Literally school boy stuff.

I remember that as I pointed out his ineptness to my mates. If he’d judged the flight of the ball with the time he had he could have positioned himself to take it on his chest or at least head it properly.

Thank you, glad I wasn't the only one.  So frustrating.

And inevitably ended up on the floor.

Emery must rotate. Tonight did not work but we cannot just play the best XI every game.
