Credit where its due, and I groaned when I saw him win the starting 11. But he was great today

Yet we seem to play better with him in the team

I liked his 'assist' for the penalty award, got up well and knocked it down nicely for Watkins.

I’m happy for him. There’s a chance he could develop a good understanding with Diaby on the right. I don’t think Emery wants him to run at defenders, even if he had the pace.
He didn’t start the game well but kept at it so fair play to him.

I think he's been told to not take people on in pointless areas. He was looking for the pass when he was 30-40 yards out but taking people on in and around the box, which is where it has much more impact.

Him and Diaby apparently did well, and got on well, when they played together before, so fingers crossed.

I think you’re right. He went to go a few times and stopped and received the ball to feet.

In the training video from earlier in the week you could hear Emery shouting something like "TAKE TIME, LEON! TAKE TIME!" after he did something.

I think so much of his play is dictated by confidence. You could see after his goal and assist he tracked back and made an important block. I’ve always believed there is a player there and I really hope we can see that player.

Seems to either play well (or at least have an impact) in home games, but I can't think of a time where that's been the case away from home. Once JJ's back, it might be a case of having JJ left, McGinn right and Watkins/Diaby at the top but picking him for appropriate home games.

I’m not linking to the Daily Hate but there’s a story he’s under investigation for an incident with a supporter after the game.

It's on the Daily Fail too.

Says it was in front of loads of witnesses and there's CCTV, so if there's anything to it, it won't take long to sort out.

Would be typical of our luck the last few weeks.

?

Got to be more to it than that.

You'd just say no if you didn't want to take a pic. I very much doubt he just pushed him.

Hopefully he gets sent down for 10 years.*

* I know, I know, he played well today.
