Bailey really seems a replica of Bert Traore. He will probably end up with a decent amount of goals and assists this season but for most games we are completely carrying him. All the same flaws as Traore too, gets a kick and he's down for treatment for ages, far too easy to knock off the ball, complete liability without it... just seems a bit fragile physically and mentally. I'm surprised as his career path...Genk, Leverkusen, Villa...suggest a tough kid who had to graft his way to the PL. But his self belief is threadbare these days for some reason.

We will definitely need to strengthen our options at top end of pitch in the summer, Bailey will still have plenty of admirers in Europe if we needed to move him on.

Traore is technically a much better player than Bailey for me. A better touch and more clinical. Just as lazy but I see no reason apart from we have a weak squad out wide and didn't strengthen it in January to keep playing this clown as a starting 11 player.

Poor game again today.  Just gives the ball away far too many times.

Must admit, I'm fucking done with this guy. I fooled myself the other week thinking he could be decent but he is just poor so often. He either repeatedly fails to beat a man, or when does he needlessly tries beating someone again when releasing the ball to someone else is the best option. He's never going to work in this 4-4-2.

Poor first touch. He doesn’t beat a defender. If he’s tackled fairly he goes to ground like he’s been shot by a sniper.

The odd bit of brilliance happens once every 10 games or so.

At best he’s a squad player who should come on with 20 mins to go, against a tiring defence.

I think a fit Traore will be better. And he’s not great

Disappointed in as much as when he came it was as a speed machine, I know he is injury prone but i've yet to see him go past a player with pace.

As a wide player in English football, you're often going to receive the ball up against the touch line facing your own goal and with a defender up your backside.

You've got to be strong and cute enough with the ball to keep possession, but Bailey loses it pretty much every time in those situations.

Brave, tenacious, committed, will to win are words you will never see used to describe this total waste of space and money.

Not good enough.  For a player with such speed he never seems to go past a defender.  Needs an upgrade in the summer (hopefully 2023).

He had the beating of the full back early in the game, but once he received a couple of physical challenges he decided he didn’t want to risk getting hurt.

Very poor. The ball does not stuck to him. Should have put his left foot through the ball for that chance. There was never going to be time to take a touch. How does he keep getting started.

We don't have any other options at the moment.

I’d put Duran in for him if it was an easier baptism than Man City and Arsenal.

Very poor yesterday. If we’d have had a winger that could beat a man we’d have won the game in the first half. He had that many chances to beat their left back or come inside and cause chaos but ran into them and fell over. How much time does he spend on the floor? He’s got the rest of the season to prove he’s worth a place at the club, otherwise I think we’ll sell him.
