The miss was terrible, but his all round play tonight was abysmal before that. Can't beat a man, crossing and passing really poor. He's not a centre forward, and he's not much better out wide.

Bailey has my full support, and these things happen in football.
Being so upset demonstrates his dedication and how much it means to him.

He'll be fit and firing against Leeds in the Premier League next time, and if he's not rested on Sunday, I think he'll do very well against Stevenage because he's a class player who is very good and exciting to watch

In the long term I can see much of a future  at the club for this guy. Nowhere near the quality  required to progress.

Showed again last night how one footed he is, bad miss and he had a bad game.

We used to have the same issue with Tony Daley. Fantastic at times but inconsistent as hell in many a game - and I loved the bloke.

I like Bailey because wingers are my favourite type of player but the one of the main differences between him and Tony Daley is comparative pace. Daley was so much faster than defenders it looked like they were standing still so he could push the ball past them and be sure of getting to it. Defenders now are fitter and more athletic so Bailey can't do this so much despite probably having a similar top speed.

His right foot is for standing on only but the explosiveness as per the obligatory YouTube clips from Leverkusen seems to have disappeared. Needs to physically get stronger to retain possession better.

Not altogether surprising considering he got pretty seriously injured twice last year as a result of that explosiveness (one of the times, incidentally, when tracking back, so I'm not sure it's fair to describe him as lazy, as someone did on here last night i recall). I suspect that he still doesn't fully trust his body to hold up at full throttle.

He was poor last night, albeit better in the second half, but he wasn't the only one.

Up until then he'd been at least fucking deadly with his shooting. Even in shite games like Palace he'd nearly snapped the crossbar given one half chance. Now he makes Watkins look like Romario.

The injury against Everton was from kicking the ball, against Man City he was just running back into his own half. Neither of them especially explosive.

I've just remembered that chance in the first couple of minutes, it looked like he could've taken a touch past the defender and had a better chance but he snatched at it and it set the tone.

He seems that kind of player, get him a couple of positive early touches and he's on fire but if he's gets tackled or fucks up he first tries to do something magic that's not needed, then his head starts to drop a bit.

It can be worked on.
