Missed a sitter but that was a quality cross into Ings afterwards. Stronger on the ball today and a few good deliveries. Still not seeing this pace he is meant to have.

Gerrard said that Bailey could play for an hour max today, according to doctors.

I thought for once he played well was involved in most of our better moments.
His tracking is pretty shocking however, very similar to Burt in that respect.

Him and Ramsey for me are the only 2 who look like making anything happen in this team and I really think we need them on the pitch as much as possible.

He was our best attacking player by miles today.
A low bar.

I thought it was a decent performance by Bailey - involved in most of our good opportunities.  He should have scored his header and made a few errors, but overall pretty positive - particulalry considering it sounds like he's not fit based on Corey's post above.

There must have been occasions, but I can't remember him successfully taking a defender on.  I don't just mean yesterday.

His header was difficult!

His header was difficult!
Isn't that what the Premier League is about - making the best of difficult situations?

These words by Gerrard suggedt to me Bailey is one of SG favoured players and would be starting every match.
Think Gerrard appreciates his abilities and there is hope with Bailey quality to remain fit

"Medical advice for Leon was 30 (minutes) or 60 tops. Leon has been one of our brightest players this year and I decided to go with the 60 rather than the 30. In a selfish world, I didn’t really want to take him off but Leon’s health, body and medical advice is more important to what I want at that moment."

I hope he can byild up the strengths to be able to play each match as can make a difference in the attack.

Well done Leon. Takes a great effort to match the levels of previous wasters in the form of Ireland, McCormack , Richards et Al, but you’ve managed it.

For Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and Europe, this guy was fucking electric. Im convinced we haven't been given the actual Bailey, we have some sort of experimental version were his legs and arms were put on the wrong way round. The real one is being held hostage in his dad's shed.
