I think Gerrard would certainly have spent that wankers transfer fee a lot better. Bailey, Buendia and Ings have been complete failures.
A fully fit Bailey may come good, the other two…useless!!
Bold, given that we haven't seen Gerrard through a transfer window.
Ings may have been the right transfer at the wrong time. Bailey is a total EPL unknown. Buendia is classy but may lack staying power.
Bold but true imo…
which you're entitled to, even if you're wrong 😁

Time will tell but I know I’m right, as I was when I used to slag Grealish off on here  and got slated….

Why would you slate a ray of hope and a player many of us had enjoyed watching? He was a joy to watch especially given the years of proper crap football. He may have left and left a bitter taste but gloat over this is very odd.

Back on topic, how the fuck did Bailey pass a medical. I don’t get how these big strapping athletes can be so fragile. Boateng looked weedy as anything but was absolutely nails. Despite our current manager trying to break his leg.

Didn't Downing pass one on crutches?

The three we signed have had a disrupted pre season. A disrupted season due to fitness, injury and international issues and then a change of manager and yet another new system. How anyone can feel convinced any of them is crap is beyond me. They've all shown good signs and have pedigree. Let's not write them off yet.

And Bailey didn't come as an injury prone player.

You should have seen what people were saying about Steven Gerrard before he started! :)

...in a 3-1 win at Anfield, two days before 9/11.

I did wonder, when Gerrard took over, whether that awful challenge would be mentioned, even in jest, between the two given he and Boateng are now colleagues.

Yes spot on for all the reasons you state. I think the adjustment to the PL and it’s demands on a player is the reason Bailey is suffering injuries. A proper pre-season will hopefully see us get the best from him

Please stop it. What’s with this common sense thing?

They mostly weren't that polite or considered.

Anyway, back to Leon! Think he will come good as JPA did and that took some time. Wouldn't play him until he absolutely 100% fit and would be sparingly between now and end of season but all our sqaud will benefit from a pre season with Gerrard and co.

What is his injury? That sounds quite serious if he's going to be out most of the season.
