Apart from ten minutes against Everton, I'm yet to even be under whelmed by Bailey. I would put my opinion close to under that even.

I don't like him in possession, he always looks on the verge of losing control, his decision making has been piss poor and his work rate has been half hearted. Couple that with Stuart Downing levels of cowardice when competing for loose balls, I think he's got a huge amount to prove. I think his position will be one Gérard targets a player in Jan. If even take Lingard over Bailey.

I think he will benefit from a full pre season with us, one that’s designed to prepare the player’s body for the rigours of a PL season. He signed for us on the 4th August and made his debut 10 days later so like many new signings they struggle to adapt to the demands of the PL without adequate preparation.

I’m not writing him off yet, if we are in a similar position this time next year then my view may change.

Bloody hell VFL, we've got to wait until next season and he's had a proper pre-season before we see anything from him!!

Glad Gerrard was basically brutally honest about baileys injury that we wont see him before xmas. Not like smith where he would not say specifically and beat around the bush leaving fans in limbo at whats happening.

Hopefully traore and trez will be back soon to fill the void and give up options. I expect el ghazi will be filling in for now as there isnt anyone else

El Ghazi is a good player when he hits form, so not unhappy top see him back in the team. Think Bidace will get some game time too, he looked a good player in pre season and would benefit from playing in the first team.

I also think we will see Trezeguet play more under Gerrard, as his work rate is top notch and that will suit the style of play he is aiming for.

I'm glad he had a lazy Christmas with family and presumably his daddy/agent.

I think Gerrard would certainly have spent that wankers transfer fee a lot better. Bailey, Buendia and Ings have been complete failures.
A fully fit Bailey may come good, the other two…useless!!

Bold, given that we haven't seen Gerrard through a transfer window.
Ings may have been the right transfer at the wrong time. Bailey is a total EPL unknown. Buendia is classy but may lack staying power.
