Luxury player at the moment. Hopefully we'll see him at his best for 15-20 consecutive games before his contract finishes.

Aren’t luxury items supposed to be nice to have or at least be of some use, if only a little.

Gerrard has confirmed he’s out for several weeks. Not so much a luxury as a complete and utter waste of money.

When your car goes in to the garage to repair something, do you immediately get rid of it for being a complete and utter waste of money?

With Risso, isn't it more watches/jewellers than car/garages ?  ;D

He won't be for the first player who needed time to acclimatise having joined from a slower paced foreign league. LB has some class about him and I think he'll come good at Villa.

Sending Leon and his thigh muscle some positive vibes maaaan.

Hope he recovers soon and then can kick on for the second half of the season. He’s a real talent, who’s had some bad luck with injuries and I think it’s also making him try too hard. When he comes back I think he needs to relax a bit.

It'll be interesting to see what approach they take with his rehab - let him go "home" to Jamaica or recover and be monitored here.

Very much this .... more chance Usain Bolt pulling on the shirt than his buddy..... we do tend to get our fair share of "injury prone" players.

Appreciate the positive comments pal, but not sure my legs are up to it these days.

If I bought a new sports car, and it drove like an old W reg Cavalier, before being up on bricks for the first four months I owned it, then probably, yes! :)

He’s going to find it difficult to get back into the team when he comes back after the window
What with us having Sterling on one side and st Maximum on the other with Zaha on the bench by then

He's played 420 minutes of football for us.  The equivalent of less than 5 matches. He's had an unlucky start to his career with us but let's not say he's a waste of money. He's not been blighted by injures in the past.

Maybe let's get him fit and then see what he can do before writing him off eh? Perhaps the injuries are to do with our backroom not getting him sorted properly.

At least he can put his feet-up nice and early for Christmas.

When he does come back I'm expecting two assists and a worldy per game.
