Not injured, just not ready to start yet. According to the press conference at least.

I don't buy that.

He'd be on the bench, if that was true.

There was a weird rumour circulating (probably originating from a wannabe ITK) in the Upper Holte at half time that Bailey had a pre-match argument with Dean Smith about him only being on the bench and therefore was suddenly no longer in the squad. It's something I found really difficult to believe but equally can't imagine why someone would make it up.

That’s absolutely the sort of thing I could imagine someone making up as a bit of attention seeking.

Don’t especially expect him v Barrow.
Lovely if so; not a disaster if not.
I expect him to be named in the team when Dean S thinks he’s ready, and not before.

'Attention Seeking' was the phrase I was searching for. It's obviously bollocks but feeds fevered imaginations.

Bailey could be set to miss Chelsea and Everton because he has to go to red list countries Costa Rica and Mexico. Plus Carribbean countries sent to be red listed anyway.
Though Premier League chiefs are lobbying to the government in an attempt to receive quarantine exemptions but for the sake of a few players or a covid outbreak in the squad then our international players must adhere to the regulations

Dean Smith:
"Leon just felt his hamstring . He had an injury in the summer playing for Jamaica and it just tightened up in training and we just can't risk it."

After going through all of that it would have been easy to have taken the money that the 3 English Clubs would have offered him. Looks like hes willing to work for his success, a lesson that I wish a lot of other Younger players heeded.
