Not exactly FPP/SCR, but related.

Chelsea fined and had a transfer embargo "slapped" upon them, in time honoured fashion: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2026/mar/16/chelsea-fined-suspended-transfer-ban-historical-rule-breaking

They'll get a a strongly worded email if they cheat again or possibly the time after that.

Actually, misread. No ban at all, just the threat of one!

The undisclosed payments stuff, isn't that basically what City are accused of?

If so, there's your marker.

This is about Villa. Look at what had to do this summer. Everton. Forest. Leicester.

Chelsea have wilfully broken the rules and hidden it. Won titles off the back of these signings. Are they not now discredited due to unfair advantage? What the actual punishment is there, is a 10m fine. Which is half a Kellyman.

Good work.

Our owners and Newcastle's owners have deep pockets, why not kick up a legal stink?

The big difference is that Chelsea have cooperated, Citeh haven't. Not that I'm still expecting much.

Just checked and one of the signings is Eden Hazard. That Chelsea team isn't winning shit without him. It's not about a points deduction. That benefits us and this isn't about that, but whatever they won during that period should be struck from record. If you're cheating to win the league, you haven't won the league. Simple.

It doesn't matter if they declared (some of) it, either. If I decapitate a nun and walk into Steelhouse (RIP) with the severed head saying "my bad, boss", am I walking free? It's cheating. Apparently this is very important these days, so penalise them.

Agreed.

In the last twenty years Man City have won the EPL 7 times (115 cases outstanding), Chelsea 5 times (proven cheats), Man Utd 5 times (nearly a billion in debt), Liverpool 2 times (well run club), Leicester once (5000/1).

With the odds stacked heavily in the favour of the so called 'big 6', Arsenal and Tottenham should be embarrased they couldn't win a league title in twenty years when there are effectively 6 teams in the league.

What a 'joke' the Premier League is.'Crime never pays'. It does in the Premier League.

Enough to make me sick.

Only issuing a fine to Chelsea is the precursor for the Man City punishment.  I expect we’ll see the whole thing will be cleared up quickly now the precedent is set.

Yes, I share your cynicism (other than the fact that at least Chelsea sort of 'fessed up). The Premier League knows it cannot financially out-muscle C£teh in the courts so some sort accommodation will be found, and this is the precursor which sets a suitable precedent.

If that precedent is set, Wes and Nas should spend billions in the next transfer window or at the very least get the Competition and Markets Authority (formerly the Monopolies Commision) to investigate.

Make a mockery of the EPL.
