Those numbers dont seem right to me - so the average ticket+ food & drink is £23.  As far as I can see the cheapest adult season ticket is £531 - and that is £28 based on 19 home games.

I know you have kids and concessions etc.  But you also have lots of more expensive season ticket holder, GA, GA+, and Corporate.  And thats before anyone buys a drink or food - which I know is pretty challanging - but still seems far too low

That lines up with the numbers from a couple of years ago though so I suspect it's a bit dated.

Out of curiosity, how much cash will the extra seats and the warehouse generate?  My dirty maths suggests about £10m a season, plus any non football related income (gigs etc).

The return is probably decent but doesn’t move the dial that much for FFP. Both should improve the experience for the fans so a weird legacy for Heck now he’s gone.

Man U borrowed another £105M to fund their summer spending increasing their debt to more than £1BN (BILLION). But it’s ok. It is deemed “financially fair” as long as they have the revenues to pay the interest but clubs with no debt cannot spend money they have to stay competitive in a sporting context.

You might as well complain that rugby players can use their hands. It's not the same thing. It obviously is in principle, but not according to the rules we signed up to. Man Utd's debt is entirely irrelevant to our situation.

I’m not really complaining. More bringing up that the rules if truly intended to help clubs avoid going out of business should account for debt. That just because a club has revenues to cover the debt doesn’t mean they should be allowed to keep piling it up. Man U is probably isn’t the best example because as bad they are they will always have considerable revenues but that isn’t the same for every club. The “rules” for financial responsibility should be consistent across all clubs and debt needs to be considered as part of those calculations.

I mean, they're not rules we had a whole amount of choice in signing up for. And spending-to-revenue rules that exclude debt are just designed for Real Madrid in the end (Mann You are in as a bonus).

It winds me up. For a woke lefty yoghurt-knitting bleeding heart snowflake, I really hate moaning (doing it, hearing it, reading it). I appreciate it's my choice whether to read it. Especially on this thread.

Edit: particularly moaning that things are unfair. Yes, they are. Unless we're talking about miscarriages of justice with actual consequences for actual people, get the fuck on with it and shut up.

It’s not moaning. It’s a discussion forum. And shit rules should be challenged. Otherwise nothing ever changes and the privileged few always prevail.

I get that. From my point of view, I'm not quite (close, but not quite) tragic enough to keep up with Man Utd's debt situation or what have you, so I appreciate staying in touch with the pettiest, most inconsequential injustice on earth.

Doesn't seem unreasonable that people discuss the merits, or otherwise, of FFP regulations on a thread marked "FFP".
