Some places have Guessand down as an assist for us as well but it's the one agianst Brighton where him and Ollie both went for the cross and it might have got a tiny touch from Guessand before Ollie put it in.

THat said I think Guessand was the best of the 3 over the season, that's not a high bar but given he's also the youngest if we had to keep one he'd be my choice because I think he could become a useful player in the premier league.
Without checking, I am assuming that our points per game with Guessand in the squad looks extremely healthy versus the same without.

That obviously reflects the midfield injuries rather than Guessand's absence.

But still, I bet the difference is eye catching!

Be interesting to see the combined contribution of Sancho, Guessand and Bailey.

G/A:

Sancho 4
Bailey 4 (inc. 1 for Roma)
Guessand 5 (inc. 3 for Palace)
Cheers. I can overlook the shirked tackles, but that is a very low contribution from Sancho given the minutes he's had.

I'm bored enough to do it...

13 games 23 points 1.77ppg (this is purely games he played in, not ones where he stayed on the bench)
vs
23 games 36 point 1.56ppg

so statistically significant but not as big a difference and I guess you were expecting, about 7-8 points over a full season though. The Kamara version is better.

Oh go on then...

Yeah thought it might be bigger. But still a pretty mysteriously chunky gap.

Two no.10's at the end of last season at Leverkusen, one goes for £100m + and the other couldn't be given away.

Funny watching Emi strutting around while Wirtz had all the impact of an empty crisp packet.

That’s a great comparison of alternative career trajectories, that no one in the entire football world would have predicted.

Hitting the post and the bar with the same shot has to be worth more than a goal, c'mon!

Brilliant second half yesterday. Nearly another memorable goal from distance. We crucified them down the left in the second half with Digne/Buendia in top form.

It’s incredible in that he was on his way out after not recovering his form following a terrible injury. Came back and fought for his place. Has scored some absolutely crucial goals to get us to our league position and the Europa final. And now likely starts in the final on merit. It’s a great story.

He's a proper throwback. Most players - most people - only need the merest whiff of an idea they're not wanted and they're off in a massive strop. This lad thought 'fuck that' and worked like billy-o to make something happen. He deserves all the respect.

I’ve sworn at him so many times this season I’d like to now apologise and eat some humble pie.

Even had time to do the splits mid-game, and that still wasn’t the most impressive thing about his performance.

According to the live stream presenter, his son was running all around the pitch tacking people.
