He is capable of sublime moments. He can also frustratingly give the ball away too often, I said earlier his best form is when he receives and gives the ball quickly and links up attacking play.
When we have our best players on the pitch and on form , he then becomes another player that can hurt the opposition. Really good teams have multiple threats and he can be one of ours.
Starts ahead of Bailey and Sancho because of his tenacity.

Couple of matches ago we became the club he's played the most games for.

Good lad, would be very happy to see him sticking around the squad (albeit backing up somebody better) for a couple more years.

He seems happy enough to be a squad player, he's good enough to make an impact and he also appears to value being here. He'll do for me (as desperately annoying as he is when he's off it).

Same, I know i bitch about him a lot but it really is that I don't see him as a regular starter if we want to reach our goals. As a squad player he's great because he is able to come in and have a big impact in a short time and he rarely has the sort of negative impact that we've seen from some in that role. Longer term I'd like to see this sort of job be one that we use the kids for but given most of the ones we are looking at in those roles are 17 or 18 we've got a gap to fill for a few years and there's no reason not to use Buendia for it if he's happy being that player.

Buendia's job for the Villa of 2026 - 2028 should be to come on for the last twenty of minutes of every game to run like hell at their defenders to protect our 2-0 lead and stop us getting pushed too far back.

Then popping one in from twenty yards to seal it.

Yep, exactly, so long as he's happy with that.

Also, to score a last-minute winner of every match we play vs Arsenal.
