I struggle to think of a player more out of the door making his way back, and being so good. Fair play Emi.

Hutton?

I nearly put that, but as dogged and wholehearted he was, he’s not in the same league as little Emi.

I was more than happy for him to go this summer. Fair play to him for proving me wrong.

Hutton made his way back because we dropped down to his standard which is very different to Emi making a big step up to looking at home in a top half of the premier league squad.

New contract in the offing I hope.  I was completely wrong about him.

Delighted for him, he's been so unlucky, every time it's looks like he's about to kick on he's gotten a setback of varying degrees. Hopefully he gets a decent run of it now.

Hutton was very disliked though. He was absolutely slaughtered on here time and time again until dumped in the bomb squad and we did everything we could as a club to get rid. If Emi keeps it up beyond a couple of months then he will become a no doubter in the debate.

he wasn't even meant to be at Villa this season - he's pushed his way into the starting elven - fair play, great end product this season.

Absolutely brilliant today - that first 45 minutes was as good a half we’ve had from any player for a long, long time.
